Dreams FC affirmed their dominance in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage with a noteworthy away win against Angolan side Academica Do Lobito, solidifying their position in the competition.

Building on last week’s triumph over Nigeria’s Rivers United, Dreams FC extended their winning streak with a 3-2 victory at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.

The Ghanaian debutants now stand at six points, placing them alongside Tunisian side Club Africain and Rivers United in the group. The thrilling encounter unfolded with Dreams FC taking an early lead in the 10th minute, courtesy of Abdul Aziz Issah’s brilliant effort. Despite Academica Do Lobito’s Joao Valonga Basilio Barros quickly equalizing, Dreams FC regained control.

Veteran striker John Antwi showcased his scoring prowess, putting Dreams FC ahead once again. Aholou Gael Avocevou sealed the victory with the third goal. Although the home side managed a late consolation, Dreams FC emerged triumphant.

Academica Do Lobito now find themselves without a point after three matches. The next challenge for the Angolan side involves a trip to Kumasi to face Dreams FC, where the Ghanaian team will aim to secure another victory and strengthen their quarter-final aspirations. Dreams FC continues to impress on the continental stage, with fans eagerly anticipating further success in the CAF Confederation Cup.
