Brighton & Hove Albion manager, Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that the Seagulls will be without Ivorian Winger Simon Adingra for at least 5 weeks.

The news is a big blow for Jean Gasset as Simon Adingra is a huge part of his plans for Ivory Coast in the 2023 AFCON.

In an interview ahead of Brighton’s home game against Tottenham Hotspurs at the AMEX Stadium on Thursday, the Italian tactician confirmed the hamstring injury sustained by Simon Adingra, 21, in Brighton & Hove’s derby game against Crystal Palace in the 1-1 draw on 21st December will keep him out for more than a month.

The gaffer said, “Adingra, I think he needs four, or five weeks (recovery). Tomorrow no Mitoma, no Adingra”.

Simon Adingra has been in red-hot form for Club and Country in 2023 and was expected to dazzle for The Elephants of Ivory Coast in the 2023 AFCON.
