Nsoatreman FC secured a vital 1-0 victory over Medeama in the Ghanaian top-flight on Sunday, putting an end to their three-match losing streak.
Stephen Diyou’s goal, scored six minutes into injury time in the first half, was the difference maker at the Nana Konamansah Park.
The win came as a huge relief for Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu, whose team had struggled to find success in their previous three matches.
Defeats to Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC, and Samartex had raised concerns about the team’s form, but they bounced back strongly with this victory over the champions.
Medeama coach Nebojsa Kapor made a single change to his lineup compared to their previous match against Bechem United. Despite missing influential defender Nurudeen Abdulai, Baba Musah Abdulai and Kobina Amoah formed a solid defensive partnership.
With this win, Nsoatreman FC climbed to fourth place in the league table with 33 points, four points ahead of their opponents who sit in ninth place.
The victory not only lifted the spirits of Nsoatreman FC players and fans but also showcased their resilience and determination to overcome challenges and return to winning ways.
