Ernest Nuamah has made a positive return to training after spending nearly ten months out of action due to a serious knee injury.
The Ghana international winger has resumed light ball work as part of his recovery process following an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury, which kept him away from competitive football for most of the season. His return to on-field activity marks a major milestone in his rehabilitation journey.
The 22-year-old Olympique Lyonnais attacker is now training cautiously with the ball, raising optimism within his club and the Ghana national team setup. Medical officials are expected to continue monitoring his progress before he fully rejoins team training.
Nuamah’s absence was felt at both club and international level. He missed Ghana’s unsuccessful 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign but was influential earlier in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where his speed and attacking strength added bite to the Black Stars’ play.
His steady recovery comes as welcome news to Ghanaian football fans, especially after a period troubled by injuries to key national team players. With several others also working their way back to fitness, hopes are rising for a stronger Black Stars squad ahead of future international competitions.
Nuamah’s gradual return signals renewed confidence that he could soon be back doing what he does best on the football pitch.
