Italian-born Ghanaian forward Joseph Ansah Ekuban has completed a move to Serie C side AC Renate, joining from Latina Calcio on a one-and-a-half-year contract, the club confirmed.
The 23-year-old, who previously had spells with Virtus Francavilla, Fidelis Andria, Monterosi, and SS Arezzo, arrives at Renate after a challenging first half of the season at Latina, where he scored 2 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.
AC Renate’s official statement welcomed Ekuban warmly, noting his football pedigree:
“With the same enthusiasm that welcomed his brother to the professional game, we now welcome Joseph, a 2000-born striker who joins permanently from Latina Calcio 1932. Joseph has played across Serie C for multiple clubs and now joins the Nerazzurri family on a contract until June 30, 2027. We wish him all the best in this new chapter.”
Ekuban is the younger sibling of Genoa forward Caleb Ekuban, the Ghana international, though Joseph is yet to make his debut for the Black Stars.
The move to Renate provides the promising striker with an opportunity to revive his season and establish himself as a key attacking option as the club looks to climb the Serie C table.
