Huddersfield Town midfielder Cameron Ashia, has opened up on the Terriers’ 2-2 draw against Blackpool in Sky Bet League One over the weekend.
Liam Manning’s side found themselves two goals down after half and hour, with Ashley Fletcher and Karoy Anderson both hitting the net for the Tangerines. Needing to bounce back in the second half, Marcus Harness headed in from close range to get Town only a single goal behind. Finally, in the last five minutes, Cameron Ashia was in the right place to head in the all-important equaliser.
Ashia, a Ghanaian international, who scored a late header to draw the match for Huddersfield Town, shared his thoughts on the game after the final whistle.
“We’re disappointed as a group. We always want to fight for three points, and we always want to take three points. At the end of the day, we got one point, but the courage to show, two-nil down at half-time, and we managed to get some goals back, it’s a good feeling. But, we know where we want to get to, and we know what we need to do to improve.” Ashia told HTTV.
“It shows our spirit. It shows where we want to be. It shows how much we care. It shows how much we care to the fans, and how much the fans care to us. We play because we want to get up and improve, and show the fans that the efforts are being shown on the pitch. We are going to take the point, but we are always looking to get the three, at the end of the day. he added.
