Ebenezer Dadzie has admitted that his side fielded a second team but still believes the Black Starlets are a strong squad, following Attram De Visser’s 2-1 defeat to Ghana’s U-17 national team in a pre-AFCON friendly match.
The head coach of Attram De Visser made this known after the game, where his team tested their strength against the national juvenile side as part of preparations ahead of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
Despite the narrow loss, Coach Dadzie remained positive about both teams’ performance. He openly stated, “This was our second team but the Black Starlets has a good team.”
His remarks suggest that although Attram De Visser did not present their strongest lineup, he was impressed with the quality and organisation of the Black Starlets.
The friendly encounter formed part of the Black Starlets’ build-up to the upcoming continental tournament, giving the technical team the opportunity to assess players, tactics and team chemistry before the competition begins.
In the end, the match served as a valuable exercise for both sides, with the national U-17 team securing a confidence-boosting 2-1 victory while Attram De Visser gained useful experience for their young talents.
