Goalkeeper Mohamed Camara has expressed disappointment after Asante Kotoko were held to a goalless draw by Vision FC in their Ghana Premier League encounter.
Speaking after the match, the Kotoko shot-stopper admitted that the team expected to win, especially after Vision FC were reduced to ten men during the game.
According to him, playing with a numerical advantage should have given Kotoko the edge to secure all three points.
Camara said the result was frustrating for the players because the situation on the pitch favored Kotoko, but they failed to take their chances. He noted that a match where one team has eleven players against ten is one they should normally win, particularly for a club with Kotoko’s ambitions.
Despite the disappointment, the goalkeeper stated that the team will not dwell on the draw and will instead focus on the next matches. He added that the players remain determined to improve their performance and get back to winning ways as the season continues.
Kotoko dropped important points with the draw, and the result could affect their position on the table as the Ghana Premier League enters a crucial stage, with several clubs fighting for the top spots.
