Promising Ghanaian defender Frank Iruzie has secured a season-long loan move to Lithuanian side FK Sirijus Klaipėda as he continues his development in European football.
The 20-year-old left-back, who is a product of Frienhoff Football Academy, will spend the season with the Lithuanian club in a move aimed at giving him valuable first-team experience at the professional level.
Iruzie’s transfer represents the second player exported by the Ghana-based academy this year, underlining the club’s growing reputation for developing young footballers capable of making the step into European football.
Before sealing his move to Lithuania, the talented defender previously had the opportunity to train with RC Celta de Vigo in Spain, where he impressed during a trial with the La Liga outfit.
His switch to FK Sirijus Klaipėda now offers him a platform to showcase his defensive qualities and further refine his game in the Lithuanian top-flight environment.
The move also reflects Frienhoff Football Academy’s commitment to creating international pathways for its players, ensuring young talents gain exposure and opportunities to progress in competitive leagues abroad.
With the academy continuing to produce players capable of attracting overseas interest, Iruzie’s move is expected to serve as motivation for other young prospects hoping to follow a similar path in European football.
