Prosper Nartey Ogum, head coach of the Black Starlets, has opened up about his early ambition to become a professional footballer and how family influence altered that path.
“I wanted to be a professional footballer, but family pressure, especially from my mum, made me stop,” he revealed.
He added that his talent on the field earned him notable nicknames during his school days, reflecting his admiration for top football icons.
“In secondary school, I was called Van Basten, at college I was called Ronaldo,” he stated.
His comments offer a glimpse into his personal journey, showing how his passion for football has remained strong despite not pursuing it professionally, now shaping his role in developing young talents.
