Medeama SC have continued their preparations for the 2026/27 season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas in a pre-season friendly in Abidjan.
Jacob Amu Mensah and Prince Owusu were on target for the Ghana Premier League champions as they secured their second win in three friendly matches during their three-week residential training camp in Ivory Coast.
The Yellow and Mauves produced a disciplined performance at the ASEC Mimosas Training Centre, matching the quality of their hosts before finishing the encounter with a 2-1 triumph.
The victory gives head coach Ibrahim Tanko another encouraging result as he continues to assess his squad and build match fitness ahead of the new campaign.
Medeama have now recorded two wins and one draw from their three friendly matches since arriving in Ivory Coast.
The Tarkwa-based side are expected to play two more friendly games before concluding their training camp and returning to Ghana to complete preparations for the 2026/27 season.
Medeama will be aiming to defend their domestic credentials in the coming campaign while also representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League after winning the Ghana Premier League title.
