Ghanaian youngster Basiru Alhassan admits his first season in the UAE Pro League has not gone as expected though he is ready to make amends.
Alhassan who joined Dubai-based Al Wasl from Czech giants Sparta Prague last summer mentioned that it has not been well for him in terms of game time but he is looking forward to shine next season.
“Seriously, the season has not been easy for me due to one or two things. I have not had enough game time with the senior side though the under 21 league I play frequently.” Alhassan told SportsworldGhana.com.
“It is always not easy moving to a different league, I played also in Czech Republic for Sparta Prague and the difference is that Czech is more competitive.”
Alhassan who featured for the Black Satellites of Ghana before moving to Sparta Prague in 2018 further stressed he wants to excel in the United Arab Emirates topflight and make a name for himself.
“I expect a lot more than what I’m seeing now. I want to make it big in the league and Im working hard towards it.”
“I want to get more playing time and by so doing, I can improve as a footballer.”He added.
The 20-year-old holding midfielder previously played for Tudu Mighty Jets as well as Dreams FC where he was scouted by officials of Sparta Prague in his only game he played for the Dawu-based club.
He has made five league appearances for the senior team of Al Wasl this season
