Former Ghana international Mohammed Polo has lauded the exemplary leadership qualities of Youth and Sports Minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah.
According to the Hearts of Oak legend, the former Sports Minister couldn’t develop football in the country in terms of infrastructure, unlike his colleague Asiamah has done under his watch as leader of the ministry.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Polo said: “I am struggling to see what Nii Lante did during his tenure as Sports Minister. “At least I have seen development and upgrading of sports infrastructure since Asiamah took over”.
”If you say Nii Lante brought structural reforms, what was the end product?” “For me because of the infrastructure, I will go for Asiamah”. he concluded.
The sector minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament of Atwima Mponua constituency has received positive reviews following the building of Multipurpose stadium and AstroTurfs across the country.
He is the only man to have spent almost four years at post in the last eight years.
Meanwhile, former Sports Minister Mallam Issah recently in a similar interview insisted Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye did better in his role as a minister than Isaac Asiamah is doing.
