Ghanaian defender, Raphael Assibey-Mensah was on target for TSV Schott Mainz in the Germany Regionalliga Sudwest.
Étienne Portmann gave the host a seventh minutes lead with Janek Ripplinger adding the second goal after 20 minutes of the match to put the host 2-0 up.
Nico Hammann reduced the deficit to one for the visitors on the 35th-minute mark after he struck from 12-yards following a spot-kick to make the score 2-1.
Assibey-Mensah grabbed the third goal for his team TSV Schott Mainz two minutes after conceding a goal to restore their two goals advantage before the interval.
Despite going two-men down through red cards, the host played with high intensity and recorded a 3-1 win at home.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian Center-back, Assibey-Mensah has scored three goals, two assists in six games for Mainz this campaign.
