Leicester City forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has emphasized that he and his Black Stars teammates are determined to secure maximum points in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola.
The Black Stars are set to take on the Palancas Negras of Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5, before heading to Berkane, Morocco, to face Niger on September 9, 2025.
Ghana kicked off their preparations for these vital matches on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with only ten out of the 23 players invited for the qualifiers attending the session. The players who participated in the training included Thomas Partey, Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Frederick Asare, Ebenezer Annan, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
Following the training session, Issahaku spoke to the media about the team’s readiness. “We are ready to give our all for the nation. We are just going to give all and pick a win against Angola. We need the support from Ghanaians,” Issahaku said.
The Black Stars’ technical team anticipates a full squad by Tuesday, just before they depart for Kumasi to take on Angola.
