Paide Linnameeskond Sports Director Gert Kams has described Ghanaian defender Abdul Razak Yusif as ‘a modern defensive player’ who can defend well, play with the ball with confidence.
The former Ghana U-17 centre-back on Tuesday, completed a three-year permanent transfer deal with Estonian top-flight side Paide after impressing on loan last season.
Yusif, 19, joined Paide on loan in the second half of the 2019/20 season from Ghanaian club lower-tier side Densu Rovers and made 15 appearances in all competitions and score two goals with one assist.
He played 10 league games and scored 1 goal
The Estonian club technical handlers were impressed with his performance and have rewarded him with a contract until June 2023.
“Abdul Razak Yusif became one of the mainstays of our defense line in half a season. As a club, it was very important for us to join Abdul in the team for a longer period. Abdul is a modern defensive player who can defend well, play with the ball with confidence, and is very good at reading and agility.” said Gert Kams.
The highly-talented defender was a member of Ghana U-17 squad that won silver at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and played three games at the World Cup later that year.
