Former Black Star player, Anthony Annan has mentioned coaches who helped him achieve success in the senior national team.
The combative midfielder played under a lot of coaches but has named the ones who were very instrumental in his carrier with the Black Stars.
Speaking exclusively with Frank Agyam on Pipapipa Media the ex- Hearts of Oak player notably mentioned French gaffer Claude Leroy, EK Afranie and Milovan Rajevac.
” I worked with lots of coaches the late Afranie was the one who called me first when I was at Hassacas but I could not play at the time because I was very young but I went to camp, but it was Claude Leroy who took me. He gave me that opportunity to excel If he had not given me the chance against Brazil in Stockholm Sweden nobody will have seen me, so I thank him a lot.
Another one who came was Milovan Rajevac who also helped us a lot to the finals (AFCON finals in Angola) and also what happened in South African (World Cup 2010) I also played with Kwasi Appiah and I thank him” Anthony Annan told frank Agyam.
Anthony Annan played for a host of clubs including IK Start, Rosenberg, Osasuna, Schalke Vitesse Arhin and Beitar Jerusalem.
Affectionally called Pablo Aimar, the midfielder played for Sekondi Hassacas before signing for Accra Hearts of Oak in 2005.
