David Ocloo, assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, shares insights on their recent goalless stalemate against Bechem United in a Ghana Premier League match week 24 clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Despite ending a four-game losing streak with a resilient defensive display, Ocloo acknowledges that the performance did not mark a significant improvement from their previous matches.
While praising the team’s defensive determination and discipline, particularly highlighting goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim’s crucial saves, Ocloo emphasizes that their offensive efforts fell short, stating, “To me, our previous games we played very well but we couldn’t score. If you watch, the previous games we played very well; better than this but we couldn’t score.”
He further explains that the draw against Bechem United primarily showcased their defensive discipline rather than notable offensive prowess.
“It’s a game we fought very hard for this draw. We came with a game plan and you could see the boys were very determined, very disciplined, and we had a point. Kudos to them,” Ocloo acknowledges, reflecting on the team’s overall performance.
