The assistant coach of the Black Stars, Mas Ud Didi Dramani, has provided insights into the technical team’s visits to various match venues.
Head coach Chris Hughton and his deputies, George Boateng and Didi Dramani, have been attending Premier League, Division One League, and lower-tier games in their quest to build a strong national team.
In an interview with Accra-based Radio Gold, the former Asante Kotoko coach explained the rationale behind their decision to attend these matches.
“Sometimes we have the notion that once Chris Hughton and George Boateng go around observing our matches, it’s solely to spot talents. But sometimes it’s about giving the league the respect it deserves. It’s about showing respect to the players and coaches, letting them know that we have partners in the industry who pay attention to their work,” Didi Dramani stated.
He emphasized that these visits also demonstrate respect for the administrators and highlight the fact that people in the game are following and valuing their efforts. Moreover, it provides an opportunity for industry players to continue advancing and improving in their respective roles.
Didi Dramani further noted that attending matches gives the coaching staff a clearer understanding of the standards and helps them have informed discussions about various leagues. Whether it’s the Premier League or Division One, being present at the games allows them to gather valuable insights.
Chris Hughton, who recently signed a 21-month deal, has been actively attending matches. He was first seen at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Kumasi for consecutive matches. His presence was also noted at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu and the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
