Cody Gakpo and Virgil van Dijk helped the Reds quickly gain a two-goal advantage, but they were cut back before halftime by goals from Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane.
Following the restart of the second half, goals kept coming in, with Luis Diaz regaining Liverpool’s lead until Josip Stanisic tied the score and Frans Kratzig’s game-winning goal in stoppage time.
The Premier League for the 2023/24 season is set to kick off on Friday, August 11. Liverpool will face Chelsea on Sunday, August 13.
