Ebusua Dwarfs has taken to Twitter to respond to allegations made by their Sunday opponents Legon Cities following the interruption of the league match between the two sides.
Cities led the game by 1-0 thanks to Richard Kwabena Antwi’s 9th minute effort but the match referees refused to come out of the tunnel to initiate the second half of proceedings at the Cape Coast stadium and this according to Legon Cities is due to threats against the referees made by the home fans but Dwarfs say otherwise.

“Referee Alpha Adey is refusing to continue the 2nd 45 minutes of our game against Ebusua Dwarfs after receiving all kinds of threats from fans and some ‘officials’.Referee says he does not feel safe to continue. 2nd half delayed by over 25mins now…Sad.” Cities tweeted.
In a sharp rebuttal, Dwarfs quoted the Tweet and responded :
“Stop spreading false info. No Dwarfs fans has threatened any match officials”
Meanwhile the organizers of the league are yet to issue any official communication regarding the state of the match.
