The 41-year-old, who recently obtained his UEFA ‘A’ coaching license along with UEFA Elite Youth A licenses, is currently employed as an assistant coach at Danish club FC Nordsjalland.
Essien, renowned for his illustrious playing career at top clubs such as Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and AC Milan, has expressed keen interest in leveraging his expertise to guide the senior national team.
