Ex Black Satellites midfielder Daniel Kofi Agyei has announced his retirement from football at the age of 31.
Agyei spent all his 16 years football career in Italy where he rose to stardom and captained Fiorentina at youth level.
The holding midfielder whose last club was GSD Ghiviborgo officially said goodbye to the sports on Friday, February 10, 2023.
“Dear Ball! The time has come to say thank you to all the people who gave me the chance to play their cities, it was my dream to become a professional footballer, and I did it because of you . I hope I gave everything or left something on a football and human level. I’M LEAVING THIS WONDERFUL SPORT WHICH HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH.” He posted on his media handles
Agyei was part of the Ghana U20 team which failed to qualify for the World Cup in Columbia.
