The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that pre-match and post-match press conferences will be mandatory for Premier League and other top-tier clubs starting from the 2024/25 football season.
GFA President Kurt Okraku revealed this new directive during the 30th Ordinary Congress of the association. He emphasized that all clubs participating in official competitions, particularly those in the upper tiers of Ghana football, must adhere to the new requirement.
“Clubs that refuse to comply with the mandatory pre-match and post-match conference requirements will be severely punished,” Okraku warned, highlighting the serious consequences of non-compliance.
This move is part of the GFA’s broader initiative to enhance the organization and presentation of football matches in the country. The aim is to ensure that all stakeholders—including the media, fans, and sponsors—are better informed and engaged.
The GFA will closely monitor clubs to ensure adherence to this policy and will impose penalties as necessary to enforce compliance.
