Four-time Ghana Premier League winners Obuasi Ashantigold SC were held at home by Anyinase-based Karela United FC in Obuasi on Saturday afternoon.
The Miners came from behind to pick a valuable point against the Pride and Passion side in their week two encounter in the 2021-22 season in Ghana.

The visitors struck first to take the lead after 35 minutes through Humid Dafie’s goal.
Four minutes later, the home team, Ashantigold were awarded a spot kick which was deliciously converted by youngster Isaac Opoku Agyemang on the 39th minute to restore parity before the interval.

The second half failed to produce a goal as it ended 1-1 after 90 minutes of entertaining football on display at the Len Clay Stadium.

Ashantigold are second on the league table after two matches with four points behind Legon Cities FC.
