Hearts of Oak fought hard for a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman, keeping their Premier League hopes alive.

After a period of early domination, the Phobians broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when Philip Ofori unintentionally headed a free-kick from Linda Mtanage into his own net. In the 66th minute, Hearts of Oak doubled their lead through a fantastic counterattack finished off with a sweet strike by Amankwaah Baafi inside the box.

Two minutes later, Samuel Ofori combined with Kwame Junior Nana to reduce Nsoatreman’s deficit and offer them a glimmer of hope for a comeback, but Hearts of Oak held on for the 2-1 win.

Nsoatreman ended the game with 10 men, as defender Ransford Frimpong Asokwah received his second yellow card in the 88th minute.

In Abrankese, King Faisal came from a goal down to beat Dreams FC 2-1. Mohammed Abubakar opened the scoring for Dreams in the 10th minute, before Yahaya Baba and Fatao Mohammed scored in the 38th and 88th minute respectively to turn the game around.

A first half penalty converted by Vincent Atingah earned Medeama a 1-0 win against Karela United in the Western derby. The win takes Medeama into second place on the table.

Legon Cities recorded a 2-0 win against bottom placed Kotoku Royals to boost their chances of survival. Michel Otou scored both goals in the second half.

In Tamale, Real Tamale United (RTU) defeated Bibiani GoldStars 5-1. Issah Kukah scored a hat-trick, while Abdul Manaf Umar and Stephen Dankwa scored the other goals. Abednego Tetteh scored the face saving goal for GoldStars.

A 88th minute goal from Dauda Yussif Seidu saw FC Samartex 1996 beat Accra Lions 1-0 at the Nsenkyire Park.

In other results, Aduana FC defeated Great Olympics 1-0 to push them into the relegation zone. Frank Owusu scored the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute, taking advantage of a lapse in defense.

Tamale City came from 2 goals down to beat Bechem United 3-2. Hafiz Konkoni scored twice for Bechem United in the first half, before Mohammed Yahaya, Collins Amoah Boateng and Godfred Abban scored in the second half to earn Tamale City the win.

A brace from Kalo Outtara and another goal from Ansu Kofi Patrick earned Berekum Chelsea a 3-0 win against Asante Kotoko at the Golden City Park.
