Ahead of the match against Uganda, Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, expressed confidence in his team’s preparation and emphasized their determination to secure victory. The Black Stars are set to face the Cranes later in the evening, marking their second game in the March international break.
Addo acknowledged the challenge posed by the upcoming game but reiterated his team’s commitment to winning, especially after their defeat to Nigeria last Friday. He emphasized the importance of bouncing back and showcasing a strong performance against Uganda.
“It’s a different set up, different hurdles for this match. I think this match we go as favorites but still it won’t be easy; we have been preparing like two or three systems which will suit the game. But I think if they come the way we expect, we have a good chance to beat them,” Coach Otto Addo shared with the GFA media team.
Addo highlighted the positive progress seen in training sessions, noting the effectiveness of various tactical patterns. Despite the team’s preparation, Addo emphasized the need for vigilance and concentration, acknowledging the quality of the Ugandan team.
“I think the boys did well in training, a lot of the patterns look good and we still have to be aware, they have their qualities and we have to be concentrated but we are looking forward to this match, especially because we lost the first match we now want the victory,” Addo added.
The friendly match between Ghana and Uganda is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 pm today. As anticipation builds for the encounter, fans eagerly await the opportunity to see the Black Stars in action once again.
