Fans attending Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Chad will have to purchase tickets in person, as e-ticketing will not be used for this match.
This marks a shift from the system that had been in place for recent Black Stars home games.
Charles Amofa, Head of Public Relations at the National Sports Authority (NSA), confirmed the decision on Sporty FM, stating that tickets will be available at the Accra Sports Stadium and other designated outlets.
“Tickets will not be sold via e-ticketing for this match. Instead, they will be available for purchase at the stadium and other selected locations,” Amofa stated.
Since Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Nigeria in March 2022, e-ticketing had been the preferred method for ticket sales. However, the switch to physical ticketing may be linked to the change in government, as the previous administration strongly promoted the digital system for major sporting events.
Ghana will face Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, as they look to strengthen their position in Group I of the qualifiers.
