French-born Ghanaian midfielder, Godson Kyeremeh provided an assist during Caen’s 5-3 loss to Rodez in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday afternoon.

Before the match, the head-to-head record showed Rodez with four wins, Caen with three wins, and no draws between the teams.

Kyeremeh began the game at the Stade Paul Lignon and played for 70 minutes, while Emmanuel Ntim played the full match for Caen.

Despite enjoying more possession, the away side faced a determined home side that had more shots on goal.

Rodez opened the scoring in the 4th minute when Lorenzo Rajot executed a skillful move to deceive Anthony Mandréa from close range, making it 1-0.

In the 13th minute, Rodez doubled their lead as Killian Corredor set up Arconte in the box, who used his left foot to deceive Anthony Mandréa and make it 2-0.

Caen pulled one back in the 42nd minute when their captain’s header found the back of the net.

In added time, Alexandre Mendy equalized at 2-2 with a powerful header after a cross from Valentin Henry from the right.

Just before halftime in the 45+4 minute, Mickaël Le Bihan provided an excellent assist from behind for Godson Kyeremeh, who helped Stade Malherbe take a 3-2 lead.

Rodez secured the victory with two goals from Tairyk Arconte and Wilitty Younoussa.

Caen’s next league match will be against Auxerre.
