Ghanaian footballer Ibrahim Osman showcased his skills as he helped Nordjaelland secure a victory over FC Copenhagen in the Danish top-flight league on Sunday.
The young talent, who recently earned a spot in the Ghana national team, played for 88 minutes in the highly anticipated match, contributing to Nordjaelland’s 2-1 home win.
Osman, who is set to join Brighton in the summer, made a significant impact by scoring the opening goal for Nordjaelland just 22 minutes into the game. Marcus Ingvartsen later doubled the lead for the home team, giving them an advantage going into halftime.
Although FC Copenhagen managed to score a goal through Orri Oskarsson early in the second half, Nordjaelland maintained their composure and held on to their lead until the final whistle, securing three valuable points.
Since returning from the March international break, Osman has been in impressive form, scoring one goal and providing one assist for Nordjaelland.
Throughout the season, the 19-year-old has been a key player for Nordjaelland, tallying six goals and five assists in 34 appearances across various competitions.
Osman made his debut for the Ghana national team during the March international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda. Despite Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Nigeria and a 2-2 draw against Uganda, Osman gained valuable experience by featuring in both matches.
