Ghanaian youngster, Raphael Assibey-Mensah was on target for German lower tier side TSV Schott Mainz in the Germany Regionalliga Sudwest.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian – born German played full throttle as his team cruised to a 4-2 win in the season’s opener against TSV Eintracht Stadtallendorf on Sunday.
Damijan Heuser and Gino Parson gave the travelers a 2-0 lead at half time after scoring on the 23rd and 32nd minutes respectively before the break.
Jost Mairose ruduced the deficit two minutes after the recess before Janek Ripplinger leveled matters just before the hour mark to bring the score to 2-2 with 30 minutes left on the clock.
Three minutes after finding the equalizer to draw level, Tim Muller scored the host’s third goal of the match to complete the turn around after trailing by two goals at half time.
Assibey-Mensah added the icing on the cake when he powered home the fourth goal for the Blue and Whites as they came from behind to pick an impressive 4-2 win at home.
The Ghana International who was without a club last year has a goal to his credit in his first game of the season.
