Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew has expressed appreciation to all those who wished him well when he contracted the Covid-19 virus.
The striker tested positive for the deadly virus after returning from international duty with the Black Stars of Ghana who played Mali and Qatar in international friendly matches last month.
He missed the league games against Brighton and Holve Albion and versus Fulham but after becoming Coronavirus-free the Ghanaian replaced Andros Townsend to play the last 20 minutes of Palace 2-0 defeat at Wolves on Sunday.
Ayew – who was voted Palace Player of the 2019/20 season – has failed to score in 1, 240 minutes of football action across 16 competitive games for both club and country.
Jordan’s last competitive goal came in the Premier League match of last season against Bournemouth on September 20th, 2020 as Palace won 2-0.
Ayew took to Twitter to thank all well-wishers saying he’s feeling healthy and happy.
”Thank you for your messages over the last two weeks. Alhamdulillah I’m feeling healthy & happy to be back with the team again. Focused fully on Saturday & getting back to winning ways. #cpfc #ghana”
