Ghana first choice custodian Joseph Wollacot has reacted to Black Stars’ World Cup qualification against Nigeria as the Swindon Town goalkeeper talks about how he personally prepared for the double-header against the Super Eagles.
With Wollacot starting both games, Ghana drew 0-0 against the Super Eagles in Kumasi before drawing 1-1 in Abuja to pick a slot at the finals of the FIFA World Cup to be played in Qatar later this year.
The Super Eagles goal came from the spot , meaning Wollacot did not concede a goal from open play.
“I didn’t put too much pressure on myself and I’m obviously buzzing and delighted.” the Ghana goalkeeper told the media department of Swindon Town FC.
“I’m not that superstitious but I just made sure I had a solid week of training, I eat well and slept right and that gives you confidence” he revealed.
Meanwhile Ghana has been drawn in the same World Cup group as Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
