Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo is expected to leave Real Oviedo at the end of the month as his contract approaches expiry, with interest reportedly growing from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The 27-year-old joined Oviedo from SD Amorebieta in 2024 following the Basque club’s relegation to the Primera Federación, and quickly established himself as an important figure in midfield.
Sibo played a key role in Oviedo’s recent progress, helping the club secure promotion and later featuring in Spain’s top flight as they consolidated their place among elite teams.
The lanky midfielder made 26 appearances, contributing consistently with his work rate and tactical discipline in midfield.
Despite his impact, reports in Spain indicate that Oviedo have decided not to extend his contract beyond June 30, 2026, paving the way for a potential free transfer move.
The former Amorebieta midfielder is now attracting attention from Saudi clubs ahead of the summer window, with a move expected to be decided in the coming weeks.
Sibo is also part of Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he will be hoping to maintain his strong form on the international stage as the Black Stars prepare for Group L fixtures against Panama, England and Croatia.
