Ghanaian forward, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku debut game for Leicester City on a Saturday afternoon against Hull City at the King Power Stadium has been described by the club as a ”promising debut” by the club.
Regrettably, the Foxes suffered a 1-0 defeat against Hull City in their Championship Round 5 encounter.
Issahaku participated in his first training session on Friday, September 1, 2023, which served as his official introduction to the Leicester City squad. During this session, he familiarized himself with the club’s training facilities.
”A promising debut from Abdul Fatawu on Saturday” said the club in a Twitter post.
In the 53rd minute of the match, the winger made his appearance, stepping onto the field to replace Yunus Akgün. Hull City had previously taken the lead with Liam Delap scoring in the 15th minute.
Fatawu Issahaku’s affiliation with the Foxes was made possible through a loan agreement that will keep him at the club until the culmination of the 2023/24 English Sky Bet Championship season.
This move followed his prior involvement with the Portuguese Sporting Club, where he featured in six matches for the senior team during the 2022/23 season, including notable contributions in both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League competitions.
