Man City or Liverpool – Who will win the Premier League this season?

It’s been a long time since the Premier League title race has been this tight. It’s never been more uncertain which team will win the title this season; either of them could do it!

The top four are separated by just three points (as of late February); the gaps between ranks are getting narrower by the day. And many believe that Manchester City vs. Liverpool will be a decisive clash.

With the season coming to an end, ensure you’ve placed your bets on your team on soccer Betway before the grand champs reveal themselves in due time. So, here are some factors why either of these strong contenders has what it takes to claim the glorious title.

Factors favoring Manchester City

Man City have decent cushioning points on the board (for now)

Manchester City has been the team to beat in the Premier League since Pep Guardiola took over as manager in 2016. They have won the last two titles by huge margins and are favorites to win a third in a row this season.

If they do so, they will equal Liverpool’s record of three consecutive wins between 1981-84 and Arsenal’s record of three successive doubles between 2001-04.

They are currently on track for first place, with Liverpool trailing behind them with a couple of points, but if they keep up their current form and performance, they might just snatch and defend their Premier League title this time around.

Manchester City have the better squad depth

If we were to compare both teams on paper, Man City would definitely be ahead of Liverpool. The depth in their squad is far superior, with every position having more than one quality player. What’s more, Pep Guardiola’s side has a number of players who can easily step up when needed.

Liverpool lacks sufficient depth in their squad, with only James Milner as a proven backup option for all positions except goalkeeper.

Factors favoring Liverpool

Liverpool was the team to beat before the season started

The Reds have been one of the most consistent teams in Europe since Jurgen Klopp arrived at Anfield in 2015. They have won the Champions League and the Premier League in that time span. Klopp has been working on building a strong squad over the years, and there’s no doubt that his team is an even stronger unit now than it was last year.

Liverpool was the team to beat before the season started with new signings such as Thiago and recently Luis Diaz from FC Porto, adding more quality to an already star-studded squad. But only time will tell if these new signings make a difference in their title defense campaign this season.

Liverpool has been impressive in the recent weeks

Liverpool has been impressive in the recent weeks with step-up performances from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah. The duo has formed a solid partnership up front, and as a result, Liverpool has lost only once in their last 20 games across all competitions.

The Reds have also shown their ability to win even when they’re not at their best, which is a testament to Klopp’s leadership. With team captains such as Jordan Henderson and James Milner, the team spirit is stronger than ever in the Reds.

Liverpool has proved their resilience this season by winning games despite scoring first, but they have to get back to winning when they score first.

The race to the Premier League Title

With the Premier League being such an unpredictable league, it will be difficult to predict who will go all the way and claim that Premier League title this season. Both teams are strong contenders; with Klopp’s captivating tactics and Pep’s genius play, this season’s title race should be a spectacle to behold.
