Hearts of Oak continued their preseason preparations with another friendly match, this time against lower-division side Dolphins FC, held during mid-afternoon at the Kpobiman Sports Complex.
In a display of strong determination, they secured a resounding victory of 4-0 against their opponents, maintaining an undefeated streak in the ongoing preseason.
The ‘Phobians’ swiftly took the lead within two minutes from the start, with young talent Suraj Seidu finding the back of the net. Seidu further extended his contribution by notching his second goal of the match in the 20th minute, bringing the score to 2-0.
Just before the halftime whistle, Albert Dieudonne added to the scoring, propelling the tally to three in favor of Hearts of Oak.
During the second half, coach Martin Koopman introduced several changes to the lineup, aiming to provide all players with an opportunity to showcase their abilities.
With only five minutes remaining until the final whistle, Albert Dieudonne secured his second goal of the day, extending Hearts of Oak’s lead to a commanding 4-0. Despite a chance to potentially increase the lead further, Issah Kukah couldn’t convert from the penalty spot.
The match concluded with a final score of 4-0 in favor of Hearts of Oak, a testament to their cohesive and spirited performance throughout the game.
