Ghanaian forward Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini has received his first-ever call-up to the senior national team as part of the 23-man squad selected by head coach Otto Addo for the upcoming Unity Cup 2025 in London.
Fuseini, who currently plays for Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium, has been in impressive form this season. His consistent performances at club level have finally caught the attention of the national team handlers, earning him a well-deserved spot in the Black Stars squad.
The 21-year-old attacker is one of several new faces in a team that blends both experienced players and emerging talent. Coach Otto Addo has shown faith in youth and domestic talent as he builds a competitive side for the Unity Cup, which will feature Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Fuseini will join the rest of the squad in London this week to begin preparations for the competition. Ghana is set to face rivals Nigeria on Wednesday, May 28 at the GTech Community Stadium in West London. A win in that fixture will secure the Black Stars a place in the final, scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025.
This call-up marks a significant milestone in Fuseini’s career, as he steps onto the senior international stage for the first time. Ghanaian fans will be eager to see what the promising forward can bring to the team as the Black Stars aim for glory in the Unity Cup.
