Amankwah Forson has admitted that adapting to life at Norwich City following his transfer from RB Salzburg has been tough, but the Ghanaian midfielder’s confidence is surging after his game-changing display in a 2-1 Championship victory over Coventry City.
Coming off the bench in the 84th minute, Forson made an instant impact, netting twice in six minutes to overturn Coventry’s 24th-minute lead, scored by Milan van Ewijk.
Forson’s first goal was a spectacular curling shot from the edge of the box, followed shortly by a deflected strike that sealed the Canaries’ dramatic comeback.
“Confidence is building,” Forson said after the match. “It’s been a difficult adjustment, but moments like this give me a lot of belief.”
The 22-year-old, who signed a four-year contract with Norwich last summer, had been sidelined for the team’s previous seven matches. Determined to make his mark, Forson seized the opportunity to deliver a match-winning performance.
Despite limited game time this season—amassing just 635 minutes—Forson now has two goals and two assists to his name, hinting at his potential to play a vital role in Norwich’s promotion push.
