English Premier League champions Manchester City have officially terminated contract with former Ghana youth star Mohammed Aminu after poor performances.

Manchester City signed him in a five-year deal from Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC in 2018 after the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.

On Friday, June 10, 2022, the former WAFA star appeared in the list of players released by Manchester City ahead of their 2022/23 season.

“Official: #ManCity released players list: Fernandinho, Mohammed Aminu, Jayden Braaf, Rowan McDonald, Kwaku Oduroh”, the club Tweeted.

He was one of the most important players of the team and was touted to reach greatness ahead of AFC Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

Due to lack of professionalism and spending most time on social media, his performances has been bad and has subsequently been sacked by Pep Guardiola’s side

With his abundant talent, the 21-year-old could still relaunch his career should he decide to be more serious with his talent.
