Former Black Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle, has revealed the reasons behind her decision not to renew her contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
In an interview with Swiss media outlet 20 Minutes, Hauptle stated that while the GFA approached her about renewing her contract, some critical factors were omitted from the discussions. She emphasized that these missing elements were vital to her success, and as a result, she could not compromise.
“It wasn’t easy to give up the project. My contract was running out at the end of the year, and we had discussions. But there were a few pieces of the puzzle that were not clear, which were relevant to my success. I can’t just make compromises, but nothing happened. We are parting on good terms and with a lot of respect for each other,” she told 20 Minutes.
Hauptle’s tenure with the Black Queens concluded when her contract expired on December 31, 2024. Following her departure from Ghana, she has taken on a new challenge, signing a two-year deal to become the head coach of Zambia’s Women’s National Team.
