Former Senegal international Khalilou Fadiga says Senegal has the best squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations that commences on Sunday.
In an interview with the Belgian press, rtbf, ex Senegalese international, Khalilou Fadiga, said Senegal have the most difficult squad to bear with, given the plethora of their stars.
African Football Confederation member Khalilou Fadiga says the Teranga Lions coach Aliou Cissé has the richest squad at the next Africa Cup of Nations.
“We have the most expensive workforce on the entire African continent. Edouard Mendy is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Kalidou Koulibaly is regularly cited as one of the best defenders in the world and Sadio Mané is quite simply one of the best players. There is also Gana Gueye or Bouna Sarr. There are exceptional players in all lines. We hope that it will be a good year for our selection because all the leaders of the country have mobilized to put the players in good conditions, ”he declared.
Regarding his predcitions, the former Teranga Lion, however, remains cautious.
Fadiga believes that the competition will be great given the presence of some great teams.

There are teams that we expect like Ghana, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt and Cameroon, which will play at home … But besides that, we will have to respect everyone because the field is very elevated.
