Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has expressed confidence in the Black Stars’ psychological readiness as they prepare to face Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
After missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the four-time African champions will reunite for the first time this year, aiming to strengthen their chances of reaching the global tournament. Speaking to 3Sports, Adams emphasized the team’s determination and urged national support. “I want to call on Ghanaians to support the team. I know we’re going to win both games,” he stated.
He further highlighted the squad’s condition, saying, “The players are well energized, well prepared, and psychologically, I believe they are ready for both games. We’re ready for the two matches, and we will win.”
Ghana is set to host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, before heading to Morocco for their clash with Madagascar on Monday, March 24.
The Black Stars have officially opened camp in Accra, with their first training session scheduled at the Accra Sports Stadium. They currently share the top spot in Group I of the qualifiers with Comoros, both tied on nine points.
