Midfielder Edmund Addo has revealed his preparedness to embrace the centre-back position for Ghana during the March international break, showcasing versatility in Coach Otto Addo’s lineup.
Selected to anchor the defense against Nigeria and Uganda, Addo’s performance in the unfamiliar role garnered praise, reflecting his adaptability and skill set.
Despite being deployed as a centre-back for the first time in the Ghana jersey, Addo’s composed displays underscored his readiness for the challenge, earning plaudits for his passing ability and defensive acumen.
“The coaches prepared me physically and mentally well to adjust to the new role. This boosted my confidence and I think I had a good performance in both games but there is still room for improvement,” Addo shared with the media.
While currently on loan at RadniÄki NiÅ¡ from Red Star Belgrade, Addo’s quest for consistent playing time at club level hasn’t deterred his commitment to excel on the international stage.
