While they were prohibited so far in the stands of the Pierre-Mauroy stadium, marks of support for Ukraine will be authorized for LOSC – Chelsea this Wednesday evening in the Champions League.
While they were hitherto banned from the stands of the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in order not to “politicize” the enclosure, the Ukrainian flags will be authorized, this Wednesday evening during the round of 16 second leg of Lille Champions League against Chelsea, owned by Russian Roman Abramovich.
A decision more in line with the actions of the club during the reception of Saint-Étienne, Friday (0-0).
Before the match against the Greens, the LOSC had co-organized with the food bank a collection of basic necessities to help the victims of the war in Ukraine.
The players had worn during the match a jersey with, on the back, the mention “United for peace” (united for peace) in blue and yellow. Autographed by the Mastiffs, they were then put up for auction (they end on Saturday) and the proceeds will be used for the same purpose.
