WAFA SC were in top form to open their Special Competition account with a 3-1 win over Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
Justice Amate shot the hosts in front after just three minutes into the game before Kingsford Owusu made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute.
WAFA kept pressuring Liberty for more goals and their efforts again paid off when Andrews Ntim scored on the 64th minute to give his side a 3-0 lead.
Frederick Ansah however, managed to score the only consolation goal for Liberty Professionals as they recorded the heaviest defeat in match day one of the novelty cup competition.
