WAFA midfielder Forson Amankwah was adjudged Man of the Match in their slim 4-3 win against King Faisal at home in their opener.
Amankwah in his best fort for the Academy boys in their home win on Sunday.
WAFA took the lead in the 17th minute through defender Konadu Yiadom before Kwame Peprah pulled for the visitors.
Back from recess, Godwin Agbevor put the Academy Boys in front again and Daniel Lomotey bagged a quick brace.
King Faisal however, got three goals from Wadudu Yakubu and Peprah as they left Sogakope with a 4-3 defeat.
