Ghana international Ibrahim Osman has revealed that he chose Feyenoord for his loan move due to the opportunity to develop and improve his game.
The 19-year-old winger has joined the Eredivisie outfit on a season-long loan from English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
Despite moving to England in July, Osman believes that the decision to spend a season on loan will also benefit him in the long run, especially with competition for places tight at Brighton. He is excited about the prospect of playing for Feyenoord and helping the team achieve great things in the Eredivisie and in Europe.
“I want to use my qualities to help the team achieve great things in the Eredivisie and in Europe,” Osman said. “At Feyenoord, young players get the chance to develop. For my development, it is good to play here and improve aspects of my game.”
Osman is expected to play a huge role for Feyenoord in the 2024/25 football season, which includes a Champions League campaign following their second-place finish in the league last season. The enterprising winger impressed in Denmark last season, scoring ten goals and assisting eight in 44 appearances.
He has already debuted for the Black Stars and is looking to cementing his place in the national team. With this loan move, Osman will be able to gain more playing time and experience, which will be crucial for his future development.
