Stand-in captain of the senior female football team, the Black Queens is adamant the team will excel at the 2016 Africa Cup Nations tournament in Cameroon.
The Queens are currently in camp preparing for the tournament after they were grouped among Nigeria, Mali and Kenya in a group termed as a “group of death” by soccer pundits
Speaking to Asempa FM reporter at the team’s training base in Prampram, Rafia Rahman disclosed that despite the challenges that the team is facing, she is hopeful of a good tournament.
“I know we are in a difficult group but I know we will qualify from that stage. We fervently preparing for the game and with God on our side we will sail through. The morale is high in camp and we are physically fit as well”. She said
The Queens are currently in camp preparing for the tournament which starts on the 19th of December.
