Winfred Osei, Ghana Football Association Executive committee member Palmer has defended his initial disparagement on re-appointed Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah.
The Exco member had said the Appiah was not skilled to handle the Black Stars post.
The Tema Youth bankrooler made his comments prior to Kwesi Appiah’s re-appointment as Ghana coach.
Mr. Osei Kwaku Parma however in an interview with Accra based Asempa FM has resolutely defended his previous comments on the former Al Khatoum boss maintaining he never absorbed his comment to the former Ghana captain.
“I never said Kwesi Appiah cannot do the work,” he said.
“What do I gain by working against him? We all want to see the team succeed and that’s most important.
“I was not part of the six-man search committee and so how do I resign over an opinion I expressed?
“I don’t think it’s right for people to request that from me.”
Kwesi Appiah was officially unveiled as the new Black Stars Coach Tuesday together with his backroom staff.
